spring formal 2020

As the wind starts to shift and cooler temperatures turn into a warm Spring, students everywhere are preparing for the event of the year, Formal. As a seasoned formal planner and date night chairman veteran, I was fully equipped with the tools to make this years' formal the best one yet!

Akin to last year, Alpha Chi Omega Formal was at the iconic, Georgia Theatre a music venue and event space located in downtown Athens. I had the Theatre booked in early November to ensure the Theatre would be available and I could use the date I already had in mind. Final touches included hiring The Divines who I booked through Music Garden Bands, an artist management company I have worked with over the past year and a half.

Unfortunately Formal was the last event that took place before the University of Georgia sent home their students due to COVID-19. While I was looking forward to our March event due to these unforeseen circumstances we canceled our event. I am, however, looking forward to coming back at full force starting in the Fall and I cannot wait to be back in Athens in a couple of months.
